8 Service Statuses, Closures, and Cancellations
Emergency Department
The All Saints Springhill Hospital Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) is temporarily closed.
Virtual urgent care will be available onsite from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. even when the CEC is closed.
Emergency Department
Eastern Memorial Hospital emergency department in Canso is temporarily closed and will reopen on Friday, September 4 at 12 p.m. (noon).
Virtual urgent care is available onsite Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.; Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; and Thursday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Emergency Department
Strait Richmond Hospital emergency department in Evanston will be open from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. on the following dates:
- August 24, 25, 26, 27, 28
The Emergency Department will be closed all day on:
- August 29
The emergency department will reopen on Sunday, August 30 at 8 a.m.
Emergency Department
The emergency department at Roseway Hospital in Shelburne will be open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on the following dates:
- August 24, 25, 26, 27.
The department will reopen on Friday, August 28 at 12 a.m. (open 24 hours).
Virtual Urgent Care is available daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Urgent Treatment Centres
The Northside General Hospital urgent treatment centre in North Sydney will be closed on Monday, August 24. The centre will reopen on Tuesday, August 25 at 8 a.m.
Virtual urgent care will be available onsite from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Emergency Department
The Emergency Department at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) on the following dates:
- August 24, 26, 29, 30
The Emergency Department will be closed all day on:
- August 25, 27, 28, 31
Virtual urgent care is available daily from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Guysborough Memorial Hospital emergency department will be temporarily closed on Thursday, August 27 from 7 a.m. until Friday, August 28 at 8 a.m.
Virtual urgent care is available onsite daily from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
All Clinics, Programs and Services
Construction on the new Yarmouth Regional Hospital Emergency Department means some parking in the front, north parking lot (near the School of Nursing) will be temporarily closed. Please plan for extra time when coming for an appointment. Learn more here.
