Emergency Department

The Hants Community Hospital emergency department in Windsor will be closed on Saturday, June 29 from 12 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The emergency department will then close again on Sunday, June 30 at 4 a.m. and will reopen at 7 p.m.

The emergency department at Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital in Musquodoboit Harbour will close Saturday, June 29 at 8 a.m. and will reopen on Sunday, June 30 at 8 p.m.

The emergency department at Strait Richmond Hospital will be closed from 7 a.m. on Friday, July 5 until 8 a.m. on Monday, July 8.

The emergency department at Eastern Memorial Hospital in Canso will be closed from 12 p.m. on Monday, July 1 until 12 p.m. on Monday, July 22.

Virtual urgent care hours: Monday to Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hours subject to change.

RN prescriber will be at the primary care clinic on Wednesday, July 3. 

The Hants Community Hospital emergency department in Windsor will be closed the following dates and times:

·       Saturday, June 29 from 12 a.m. until 7 a.m.

·       Sunday, June 30 from 4 a.m. until 7 p.m.

·       Tuesday, July 2 at 4 p.m. until Wednesday, July 3 at 7 a.m.

The emergency department at Guysborough Memorial Hospital will be closed from 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 30 until 7 a.m. on Monday, July 1.

The Soldiers Memorial Hospital emergency department is closed today, June 28 and will reopen Monday, July 1 at 7:30 a.m.

Queens General Hospital emergency department is closed at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30 and re-opens Monday July 1 at 8 a.m.

Roseway Hospital emergency department is closed Monday July 1 at 7 a.m. and is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. It re-opens Thursday July 4 at 8 a.m. 

Virtual Urgent Care is offered at Roseway even when the emergency dept. is closed during these hours:  

Mon-Fri from 11a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sat & Sun - 9a.m. to 1 p.m. 

Digby General Hospital's emergency department will be closed: 

Friday, June 28 at 4 p.m. and re-opens Sunday, June 30 at 8 a.m. 

Sunday, June 30 at 4 p.m. and re-opens Monday, July 1 at 8 a.m.

Virtual Urgent Care is available at Digby General Hospital:

Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

The emergency department at  Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg is open reduced hours and will be closed at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 29, Sunday, June 30 and Monday, July 1. It will re-open at 7:30 a.m. the following day.

North Cumberland Health Care Centre's Collaborative Emergency Centre in Pugwash is closed Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30. A virtual urgent care service will be available onsite from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Anyone requiring urgent care, can walk-in between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a virtual appointment.

The emergency department at Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston will be closed from 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 27 until 10 a.m. on Monday, July 1. 

The Twin Oaks Memorial Hospital emergency department in Musquodoboit Harbour will be closed from 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.

Soldiers Memorial Hospital emergency department in Middleton is open 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday to Friday (closed Saturday and Sunday).

All Saint Springhill Hospital’s Collaborative Emergency Centre is temporarily closed.  A virtual urgent care service will be available onsite most days.  Please check the schedule here.
