Starting Saturday, December 14, 2024, the entrance to the QEII Halifax Infirmary Emergency Department has changed to 1840 Bell Road. Learn more.

 

Please plan for extra travel time when coming to the QEII Halifax Infirmary. As of February 18, the easternmost, northbound lane of Robie Street will be closed for the duration of the Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project, leaving two lanes open. Expect potential delays and consider alternative routes when possible.

Emergency Department

Roseway Hospital emergency department is closed Thursday, March 13 and re-opens Friday, March 14 at 8 a.m. 

Virtual Urgent Care is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily (Mon. to Sun.), even when emergency dept. is closed. Patients accepted for appointments up to 60 mins before closing.

Digby General Hospital emergency department is closed at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 13 and re-opens Friday, March 14 at 8 a.m. 

Virtual Urgent Care is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily (Mon. to Sun.), even when emergency dept. is closed. Patients accepted for appointments up to 60 mins before closing.

Emergency Department

The emergency department at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg will be open daily between 7:30 a.m. and noon from Thursday, March 13 to Sunday, March 16.

However, Virtual Urgent Care is available daily between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. Patients are accepted up to 60 minutes before closing.

The emergency department at Eastern Memorial Hospital in Canso will be closed from 8am on Wed., Mar. 12 until 10pm on Mon., Mar. 31. Virtual urgent care: Mon.-Tues. from 8am-5pm; Wed.-Fri. from 8am-2pm. Canso Medical Clinic: Mar. 24 to Mar. 31, from 9am-5pm. Urgent treatment clinic: Mar. 29 & Mar. 30 from 9am-5pm.

Emergency department is OPEN 24 hours daily from 8 a.m. Monday to 1:30 p.m. Friday. It is closed at 1:30 p.m. Friday and re-opens 8 a.m. Monday (closed Sat.&Sun.)

The emergency department at Strait Richmond Hospital in Evanston will be closed:

  • Friday, Mar. 7 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Mar. 12 from 7 a.m. to Thursday, Mar. 13 at 10 a.m.
  • Friday, Mar. 14 from 7 a.m. to Monday, Mar. 17 at 10 a.m.

Soldiers Memorial Hospital emergency department is OPEN 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. 

Virtual Urgent Care is open, even when the emergency department is closed, at these times: Mon. to Fri. 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sat. & Sun. 8a.m. to 4 p.m.
