Morgan Chiasson is a continuing care nurse who believes the most rewarding part of her role is “being in your own community, serving the people of your own community.”

These are drop-in clinics. You will be asked the reason for your visit to ensure we are able to treat your concern. If we are able to help you, you will be screened for acute viral respiratory infection and given an approximate appointment time.

Channelle Beaumont is a Mi’kmaw Indigenous Patient Navigator (MIPN) who was initially drawn to a career in healthcare because she’d experienced her own health challenges and knew how hard it was to navigate the system. 

Now, Channelle is helping other Mi’kmaq and Indigenous patients and families navigate the system, working to, “ensure they receive the culturally appropriate care that they rightfully deserve.”

Halifax, Nova Scotia – Nova Scotia’s 35 Community Health Boards (CHBs) have launched the provincial summary of their Community Health Plans for 2025-2029, aimed at improving health and well-being across the province.

Kayla Zwicker, originally from a rural community outside of Bridgewater, is a seasoned healthcare professional with a passion for improving primary care services. Armed with a background in medical office administration and over a decade of experience in the field, she joined Nova Scotia Health in 2022 as a primary health care coordinator working in a practice facilitator position.

On January 27, South Cumberland Community Care Centre (SCCCC) celebrated a remarkable milestone: 30 years of providing long-term care to the people of Parrsboro and surrounding areas. The event brought together staff, leadership, volunteers, foundation members and community residents to reflect on three decades of care, community and connection.

Parents and caregivers to embark on a five-week, free, online opportunity to gain knowledge about available supports and assistance involving the management of, and challenges surrounding anxiety and anxiety disorders.

The program begins Feb. 6 via Telehealth Zoom and runs until March 6. The two-hour sessions go from 4 to 6 p.m.
