School Immunization Program

The School Immunization Program is a partnership between Public Health and the Regional Centres for Education and Conseil scolaire acadien provincial to offer free, routine vaccines to students in grade 7. The vaccines available as part of this program include:

  • HPV (Human papillomavirus)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Meningococcal disease types A, C, W & Y
  • Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough [pertussis])

Youth who missed their grade 7 immunizations can get caught up on these important vaccines for free until they turn 19. Check Public Health Immunization Clinic listings for upcoming Grade 7 School Immunization Catch-up Clinics, or call your local Public Health office.
