Public Health Immunization Clinics

Public Health holds regular immunization clinics at local offices and in communities across the province, which provides an opportunity for people to get caught up on routine vaccines, particularly if they do not have a primary care provider. Please see the map below for all upcoming clinics.

These vaccines are also available through primary care providers, if you have one, and some pharmacy primary care clinics. Additional immunization services, including routine childhood immunizations, are also offered at participating Nova Scotia pharmacies. Learn more - https://pans.ns.ca/CPPCC.

Childhood Immunization Clinics

Public Health offers vaccine clinics for children who do not have a primary care provider. These vaccines are publicly funded, which means families do not have to pay to immunize their children.

Childhood Immunization Clinics offer the following vaccines:

  • DTaP-IPV-Hib (diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis (whooping cough), polio, and Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccine)
  • RV (Rotavirus vaccine)
  • Pneumococcal conjugate vaccine
  • Meningococcal group C conjugate vaccine
  • MMRV (measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox (varicella) vaccine)
  • Tdap-IPV (Tetanus, diphtheria,  whooping cough (pertussis), and polio vaccine)

Check the Routine Vaccine Schedule for eligibility and recommended timelines for childhood vaccines. If you have questions about accessing childhood vaccination or would like to book an appointment, call your local Public Health office.

Grade 7 School Immunization Catch-Up Clinics

Youth who missed their grade 7 immunizations can get caught up on the important vaccines for free until they turn 19. Check the listings below for upcoming Grade 7 School Immunization Catch-up Clinics this summer, or call your local Public Health office to arrange a catch-up vaccine.

Grade 12 Immunization Clinics (Pilot Program)

Providing immunization support for people who have just graduated from grade 12 and want to get caught up on their immunizations and get the Meningitis B vaccine, if eligible.
