Pediatric Inpatient Services

Nurses experienced in the care of children and their families provide service for children who require hospitalization.

Parents/guardians are encouraged to remain in hospital with children throughout the course of their stay. Having a parent/guardian or other familiar person at their side can provide children with comfort and reassurance. This also provides parents/guardians with an opportunity to learn any skills or information they will need to care for their children once they leave hospital.

Please note, if you are located in the HRM, the IWK offers pediatric inpatient services
