Neurology Clinic

The Neurology Clinic provides care, medical follow-up and education for patients who have are having general neurological issues such as headaches, pain, or vertigo.

How do I prepare for my appointment/visit?

Plan to arrive 20 minutes early to find parking and register for your appointment.
Bring a list of all the medications you take, including over-the-counter medications (bought without a prescription), vitamins, and supplements.
Write down any concerns or questions you may have regarding your symptoms.

What will happen at my appointment?

The neurologist will review your medical history and perform a neurological exam. Be open and honest with the team about how you are feeling, your symptoms, and how you take your medication. This is important so we can find the best ways to help you feel as well as possible.

Will there be any follow-up?

Follow-up will be discussed between you and your neurologist. A follow-up appointment letter will be sent to you by mail.

A referral from your family doctor, a nurse practitioner or other primary care practitioner is required to access the service. Referrals should be faxed to 902-473-4438.

The Stroke Clinic is located on the 4th floor of the Halifax Infirmary.
