Services resuming in Eastern Zone following winter storm
Nova Scotia Health is advising that services are resuming at sites within Eastern Zone (Cape Breton Island, Antigonish and Guysborough counties).
Because some areas of the zone are receiving additional snowfall today and roads are still being cleared, Nova Scotia Health is asking people not to travel to a scheduled care appointment if it is unsafe for them to do so. People are asked to consider whether any non-urgent appointments can be rescheduled and to call the service/clinic to cancel their scheduled appointments if they cannot safely travel.
Some services are contacting clients directly about the status of their clinic, appointment, or program.
Due to road conditions, Public Health Mobile Unit clinics scheduled for today at the Mayflower Mall in Sydney and the Knights of Columbus Hall in New Waterford are cancelled.
