Services at Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital affected by water main break

A municipal water main break south of the intersection between Central Ave. and Park St. in Inverness this morning (Sept. 8) has caused a water shortage at Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. 

There is currently no running water at the site. Hand sanitizer is available onsite and bottled water is being transported to the site.

The incident is impacting some services that can be provided at the hospital today (Tuesday, Sept. 8). Patients and clients are being contacted directly if their appointment must be rescheduled or can be done virtually. Patients and clients with scheduled appointments are also encouraged to call ahead to the service to confirm their appointment before going to the hospital. 

The emergency department at the hospital remains open.  Anyone experiencing a medical emergency should call 911. For general health advice and information call 811 to speak to an experienced registered nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
