Reservists from across Canada engage in high-fidelity simulations and skills sessions at CEHHC
Colchester East Hants Health Centre (CEHHC) welcomed nearly 50 participants for a comprehensive military training simulation and skills session. The group included reservists hailing from Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Ontario. The event showcased a range of skills, featuring sessions on casting, suturing, intravenous (IV) and intraosseous (IO) procedures, and electrocardiogram (EKG) and rhythm interpretation.
Participants dove into two high-fidelity simulations that seamlessly integrated these acquired skills. The two simulations ran simultaneously. One focused on respiratory scenarios, while the second addressed a trauma situation. The troops praised the exceptional setup at the hospital, adding that the realistic environment contributed to the success of the training. The overall feedback was overwhelmingly positive, a testament to the support of site leadership and the dedicated teams at CEHHC.
