Power issues at QEII Victoria General site

A power outage at the Victoria General site of the QEII Health Sciences Centre disrupted some services earlier today.

Some inpatients were safely relocated to the Halifax infirmary site during the outage.

Surgeries at the Victoria General site are currently limited while backup generator power is being restored. Patients with surgery scheduled at the VG site on Monday should wait for instructions from their care team before attending.     

Nova Scotia Health teams and technical crews are on site working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
