New comforts bring warmth to palliative care room at All Saints, Springhill

The palliative care room at All Saints Hospital in Springhill has gotten a beautiful refresh, thanks to the generosity of the All Saints Community Health Care Foundation and it’s already bringing more comfort to patients and families during some of their most difficult moments. 

The updates include a new cuddle bed, so loved ones can lie down together in comfort. A coffee maker, along with pods and cups, means family members can enjoy a warm drink without having to leave their loved one’s side. Flameless candles add a soft, calming glow to the room, and a CD player stocked with relaxation music helps ease stress and create a peaceful atmosphere. A new couch rounds things out, giving families a comfortable spot to rest, gather and just be together.  

These might seem like small touches, but for the families going through end-of-life care, they matter a lot. A comfortable place to sit, a warm cup of coffee, some calming music in the background — these details help the room feel less clinical and more human, right when comfort is needed most. 

Thanks to the foundation’s continued support, these updates are now in place, helping create a more comfortable and welcoming environment for patients and families during their care journey.
