Traffic Impacts on Robie Street Near Halifax Infirmary – April 25, 2026
 
Nova Scotia Health is advising crane operations will continue on Robie Street, on Saturday, April 25, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. All southbound lanes on Robie Street will be closed between Quinpool Road and Jubilee Road.


Patients and visitors are advised to use alternate routes during this time. Sidewalks and pedestrian access will remain open. The emergency department will remain open and fully accessible throughout the work.

Need a Family Practice Registry Update, December 2025

As of Dec. 1, there are 68,490 Nova Scotians on the Need a Family Practice Registry.

The last published number was on Nov. 1, when there were 69,420 Nova Scotians on the registry.

By the end of November, the number of Nova Scotians on the registry dropped by 930. Between January 1 and December 1, 2025, the number of Nova Scotians on the registry dropped by 41,966. These numbers account for those newly added to the registry, those removed because they were attached to a family doctor or nurse practitioner, or those removed because they were found to no longer need a provider for a variety of reasons.

The percentage of the population on the registry is 6.5%. Nova Scotia Health will next update the registry in early January.
