Need a Family Practice Registry Update, April 2026
Nova Scotia Health has released a new public reporting format for the Need a Family Practice Registry. The April 2026 report is available here.
Since the initial announcement about the new reporting approach in January, a draft report was produced and internal teams took time to test, learn, and refine. This included a dedicated focus group with senior leaders and Patient and Family Advisors.
This new reporting approach presents data at the provincial, zone, and community health network levels. It provides meaningful, clear, and detailed insights for Nova Scotians, media, and system partners.
Our monthly report supports improved access to care, strengthens transparency, and helps drive real system change.
