Masonry work begins this week at Cape Breton Regional Hospital
Starting Wednesday, Nov. 1, masonry work will begin at Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney. This repair work is being done as part of continued maintenance on the exterior facade that is original to the hospital. The work is expected to take 10 months to complete.
During the work, people will still be able to access the building, however they are asked to use caution as work will take place in various locations on the building's exterior. They are also asked to follow any signage and/or barriers that are in place in areas where the work is occurring.
While work is underway, it may generate some noise. Measures are being taken to minimize any noise as much as possible.
People are also reminded to follow respiratory virus measures including wearing a non-medical mask, good hand hygiene, etc.
Nova Scotia Health appreciates your patience and cooperation while this work is underway.
