Bedside telephone service is being phased out by the service provider at Nova Scotia Health facilities beginning May 31, 2026.
The service is being discontinued due to aging infrastructure and low demand for the service. Dates of disconnection may vary by site.
In order to stay in touch with family and friends while in hospital, patients are encouraged to bring a cell phone or other personal communication device along with charging equipment for any hospital stay.
