Traffic Impacts on Robie Street Near Halifax Infirmary – April 25, 2026
 
Nova Scotia Health is advising crane operations will continue on Robie Street, on Saturday, April 25, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. All southbound lanes on Robie Street will be closed between Quinpool Road and Jubilee Road.


Patients and visitors are advised to use alternate routes during this time. Sidewalks and pedestrian access will remain open. The emergency department will remain open and fully accessible throughout the work.

Pain and Addictions Albro Lake (PAAL)

The Pain Management unit at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, in partnership with the North End Community Health Centre, has opened a new collaborative, inter-disciplinary clinic.

PAAL is a community-based tertiary care clinic available to all Nova Scotians by referral.

The target population is patients with chronic pain and any of the following:

  • Patients with addiction, in or out of treatment, suffering from acute or chronic pain
  • Patients prescribed opioids for complex pain management problems transitioning from inpatient to outpatient care
  • Active addiction
  • History of addiction
  • High opioid dose
  • Opioid aberrant behaviours
  • No primary care prescriber
