Temporary support for Dr. Daya Kodagoda clinic
Due to the unexpected closure of Dr. Daya Kodagoda’s family practice, located at 201-185 Bentinck St., Sydney, Nova Scotia Health is offering short-term, immediate support for patients until February 2024.
- For patients with outstanding medical tests (laboratory or diagnostic imaging) requiring follow-up, you will be contacted throughout December for an appointment (virtual or in-person) with a physician at Dr. Kodagoda’s clinic. Please note, there is no need to call Dr. Kodagoda’s clinic, Cape Breton Regional Hospital laboratory, or Health Records to receive this information.
- For patients with urgent care needs, you can call Dr. Kodagoda’s clinic to request an appointment with a physician, however appointments will be limited.
- Dr. Kodagoda’s clinic will be open most Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. until the end of February.
As this physician support is temporary, Nova Scotia Health is reminding Dr. Kodagoda's patients to register with the Need a Family Practice Registry. You can do this online at https://needafamilypractice.nshealth.ca/ or by calling 811.
Once registered, you can access VirtualCareNS and book virtual appointments with a physician or nurse practitioner through your computer, mobile device, or by phone.
