Black Health and Wellness Immunization Clinics in Northern Zone

Culturally specific Black Health and Wellness Immunization Clinics enable people of African descent to receive vaccinations in a place that feels familiar and respectful. Appointments are not needed to attend Black Health and Wellness Immunization Clinics, drop-ins are welcome. Although these clinics are culturally specific, all are welcome to attend.

The following Black Health and wellness Clinics will be held over the next week:

Ward One Recreation
487 Brother St., New Glasgow
Saturday, Dec. 14 from 12 - 4 p.m.

Truro Volunteer Fire Department
165 Victoria St., Truro
Wednesday, Dec. 18 from 11 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

These clinics will offer the following services:

  • COVID-19 Immunizations (ages 6 months and older)
  • Standard influenza vaccines (ages 6 months to 64 years)
  • Enhanced influenza vaccines (ages 65 and older)
  • Pneumococcal vaccines (ages 65 and older, and those with high-risk health conditions)
  • COVID-19 and influenza testing
  • Interpretation services available

Please note:

  • Vaccines and testing are free and available to all who meet eligibility requirements. 
  • Please bring your health card if you have one. 
  • Please dress accordingly as you may have to wait in line outside. 
  • Clinics may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
  • Vaccination clinics are healthcare environments and masks are required. A mask will be offered to you when you arrive.
