The websites to book appointments for blood collection, X-Rays, EKGs and COVID-19 testing will be unavailable from Tuesday April 1st from 2100 – 2130.  This is necessary for routine IT updates. During this time, the public will be unable to book appointments on-line and Nova Scotia Health staff will be unable to view the calendar or book online appointments for these services. Some services used by YourHealthNS may be unavailable for a brief period while servers are patched and rebooted.

NSH Public Sector Compensation Disclosure

Each year, the Nova Scotia Department of Finance provides an update on the status of the province’s financial situation by releasing audited financial statements and related documents.

The release also includes information provided through the Public Sector Compensation Disclosure Act (PSCD). The information is available to the public and to media. Numerous organizations across the province that receive, or have received a level of funding from government are required to report under the PSCD Act. This includes Nova Scotia Health.

To comply with the legislation, Nova Scotia Health posts a list of people who received total compensation of more than $100,000 during the fiscal year (April 1 to March 31).

In addition to salary, the total compensation may also include other types of payments like: overtime, retirement allowance, retroactive earnings or severance and vacation payouts. Because the time frame for reporting covers a fiscal year and additional types of payments, the total compensation may be somewhat different than what is identified on an individual T4.
