Holiday hours and closures for VirtualCareNS
VirtualCareNS and Virtual Care healthcare providers are ready to help over the holidays.
VirtualCareNS provides primary healthcare access (by phone or video chat) to people in Nova Scotia who do not have a primary care provider (doctor or nurse practitioner). You must be on the Need a Family Practice Registry to access this service.
Virtual Care is a separate but similar service offered to Nova Scotians who are attached to a primary care provider. Care includes general consults and prescription refills. The Province covers two visits per year.
VirtualCareNS holiday hours (for Nova Scotians without a primary care provider):
- Sunday, Dec. 24: Open 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- Monday, Dec. 25: Closed.
- Tuesday, Dec. 26: Regular hours. (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
- Sunday, Dec. 31: Open 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
- Monday, Jan. 1: Delayed opening (10 a.m. - 7 p.m.)
Virtual Care holiday hours (For Nova Scotians with a primary care provider):
- 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year
