Green Shirt Day 2024

Green Shirt Day is on April 7. To ensure more can join in, on April 8, Nova Scotia Health will be participating in Green Shirt Day to raise awareness about the significance of organ and tissue donation. All employees, physicians, learners, and volunteers are encouraged to wear a green shirt or green item as part of a national initiative honoring Logan Boulet. Logan tragically lost his life in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

Logan’s choice to become a donor inspired over 100,000 people nationwide to follow suit, leading to what is now known as the Logan Boulet effect. We invite you to join us in commemorating Logan and all those who generously contribute each year to providing life-changing and life-saving transplants to individuals across Nova Scotia and Canada. Snap a photo of yourself and your team dressed in green and share it with us at LegacyofLife@nshealth.ca. You can also share your photo on social media and tag us at @HealthNS on Twitter and @NovaScotiaHealthAuthority on Facebook and Instagram! Keep the conversation about organ and tissue donation alive by using the hashtags #GreenShirtDay, #LoganBouletEffect, and #NOTDAW.
