On Friday, April 26, Nova Scotia Health will be hosting its first provincial career fair taking place in 11 communities across the province. From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., representatives from various NSH departments will be in Amherst, New Glasgow, Truro, Sydney, Inverness, Antigonish, Sheet Harbour, Halifax, Bridgewater and Yarmouth to discuss career and volunteer opportunities across the organization.

“All Nova Scotia Health team members and volunteers make valuable contributions to improving healthcare in unique ways,” said Anna Marenick, vice-president of People, Culture and Belonging. “The career and volunteer fair is an opportunity to introduce new talent to the many different opportunities with Nova Scotia Health, whether it be in their hometown or another location across the province – in clinical care, finance, innovation or support services.”

Talent can connect directly with hiring managers, learn more about how their skills and interests match Nova Scotia Health departments, and share their resumes quickly using a QR code. There will be representatives from several departments and professions, including:

  • IM/IT, Respiratory Therapy, Nursing, Critical Care, Food & Nutrition, Administrative Professionals, Facility Management, Rehabilitation, Laboratory, Pharmacy, Diagnostic Imaging, Mental Health and Addictions, Primary Health Care, Cancer Care, Continuing Care, Medical Device Reprocessing, Volunteering, Physicians, OPOR, and Research and Innovation

“We’re committed to becoming a magnet for healthcare providers by offering incentives, partnering with industry to create affordable housing and childcare for employees, and offering and supporting professional development and advancement opportunities to support growing your career. We can’t wait to meet you!”
