Black Health and Wellness Immunization Clinics in Whitney Pier and Glace Bay
Culturally specific Black Health and Wellness Immunization Clinics enable people of African descent to receive vaccinations in a place that feels familiar and respectful. Appointments are not needed to attend Black Health and Wellness Immunization Clinics, drop-ins are welcome. Although these clinics are culturally specific, all are welcome to attend.
This week, the following Black Health and wellness Clinics will be held in Eastern Zone:
Menelik Hall Community Centre
88 Laurier St., Whitney Pier
Friday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
UNIA Cultural Museum
35 Jessome St., Glace Bay
Saturday, Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
These clinics will offer the following services:
- COVID-19 Immunizations (ages 6 months and older)
- Standard influenza vaccines (ages 6 months to 64 years)
- Enhanced influenza vaccines (ages 65 and older)
- Pneumococcal vaccines (ages 65 and older, and those with high-risk health conditions)
- COVID-19 and influenza testing
- Interpretation services available by request.

Please note:
- Vaccines and testing are free and available to all who meet eligibility requirements.
- Please bring your health card if you have one.
- Please dress accordingly as you may have to wait in line outside.
- Clinics may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
- Vaccination clinics are healthcare environments and masks are required. A mask will be offered to you when you arrive.
