Pre-anaesthesia Clinic

The Pre Anaesthesia Clinic is a Pre Operative clinic where patients that are moderate to high risk are seen prior to their scheduled  surgery by an Anaesthetist.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

You will receive in the mail a patient health form that you must complete. Please bring it and all medications you are taking including any over the counter medications to your clinic appointment. You may bring any family member, or friend with you to your appointment.

What questions should I ask?

You may ask any questions you may have about your up coming  surgery.

What will happen at my appointment?

You will receive general information about the type of anaesthesia you will receive for your up coming surgery and discuss any concerns you may have about your anaesthesia.

What happens after my first visit?

You may or may not have your date for surgery. If you do not have your date for surgery you will receive notification when your surgery has been scheduled after the Anaesthetist feels you are able to proceed with your surgery.
