Nova Scotia Health is expanding its online appointment booking service. This system currently includes the ability to book blood collection appointments at Woodlawn blood collection in Dartmouth and Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro. The service will be a new offering for the IWK; its blood collection and X-ray services will be added in the coming weeks.
Nova Scotia Health is offering a variety of online wellness programs this fall for adults of all ages on healthy eating, physical activity, mental wellness, parenting, and reducing one’s health risks.
All of the sessions are free for anyone who lives within the province.
SPARK A Connection, a day-long event that focuses on the impact of social isolation on individuals and communities, will be held on Sept. 17. Over 100 participants from community organizations and other stakeholders who support vulnerable populations at risk of social isolation in the Richmond County/Strait area, Guysborough County and Antigonish Town and County will connect virtually via Zoom as well as in small groups adhering to public health physical distancing directives.

Djembe drums could often be heard in the hallways of Clark Rutherford Memorial School in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. Known for their strong, repetitive rhythms, Djembe drums are part of West African heritage.
The advisory is related to an individual(s) who accessed a cab departing the Halifax International Airport on August 24 between 6-7 pm, travelling to a residence in Halifax.
