Patients must book appointments by calling the clinic. No walk-in patients are accepted.

Call 902-527-5239 on Monday mornings to book an appointment. The phone will be answered at 8:30 a.m. until the appointments are full.

You will be given the next available appointment in the After Hours Clinic for the week.  Once the clinic is full for the week you will be directed on when to call to book appointments for the following week.

Referral by a physician or primary care provider is required.  For more information about the Persistent Pain Group sessions or the referral process, please contact the program coordinator at 1-800-270-4776 x3312.

The Northern Shared Chronic Pain Service offers 9 week interdisciplinary Persistent Pain Groups at each of the four clinics -  Antigonish, New Glasgow, Amherst and Truro.  Sessions are held in the fall, winter and spring.  Referral by a physician or primary care provider is required.  For more information about the Persistent Pain Group sessions or the referral process, please contact the program coordinator at 1-800-270-4776 x3312.

A referral from your primary care provider (doctor or Nurse Practitioner) is required to be seen in one of our clinics.

The Bayer’s Lake Primary Care Clinic sees both attached patients who are taken from the Need A Family Practice Registry and unattached patients who are referred to a primary care clinic such as Bayer’s Lake. Unattached patients are referred directly from the VirtualCareNS platform.

A referral (requisition) from your primary care provider and an appointment are required for an x-ray.
