Telehealth Virtual Care
Other
Virtual Care uses audio/video technology to connect patients with health care providers, closer to home.
Telehealth refers to a virtual appointment in which patients receive support (site support person, equipment, space, Wi-Fi/data) to connect with health care providers (HCP), at a Nova Scotia Health or IWK Health location, using approved virtual technologies.
Most NSHA/IWK locations are equipped to provide access to virtual care.
Individuals should contact their health care providers directly to find out if they are offering virtual appointments using Telehealth. For individuals who have been offered a virtual appointment, they will receive instructions and be directed to the following resources. Please review in advance to prepare for the appointment and ensure a secure online experience.
