It was a beautiful fall day for the 6th annual Veterans Garden Pumpkin People Festival, which was held at Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Hospital on October 12.
“It was wonderful to see so many entries from different departments and units within the Veterans Memorial Building as well as great participation from Veterans and families,” said Heather White, Director of Veterans Services.
“There is a lot of creativity and talent at the Camp Hill Veterans’ Memorial Building and each year the Pumpkin People displays that are entered into the Festival seem to get more creative and elaborate,” she added.
A military leadership group was among those in attendance, checking out the displays and spending time with Veterans and their families. In addition, guest judges were invited to award 4 prizes, recipients are as follows:
1st Prize—“Green Acres” by V6- Jubilee
2nd Prize- “Chris Hatfield”- by Occupational Therapy
3rd Prize- “The Pumpkin Bride” by George and Georgina Scott, V4 Westwood
People’s Choice Award – “Green Acres”- V6- Jubilee
Runner Up- “The Great Debate”- 9Lane
