Buchanan Memorial Community Health Centre getting a new roof

Buchanan Memorial Community Health Centre in Neils Harbour is getting a new roof.

Work will begin this week to replace the health centre’s original roof, which is more than 23 years old. The work is expected to take approximately five to seven weeks to complete.

While the work is underway, people will still be able to access the building, however they are asked to use caution as they enter and leave the health centre or use its grounds. Overhead protection will be in place, but people are asked to use caution in any areas where construction is active. They are also asked to follow any signage that is in place and to not enter any areas that are blocked for construction.

People are also reminded to follow COVID-19 measures including visitor restrictions, social distancing, wearing a non-medical mask and good hand hygiene.
