(You can find an overview of all Nova Scotia Health's seizure and epilepsy services here, including the First Unprovoked Seizure Clinic and the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.)
This service provides comprehensive assessment of thinking, emotional, and behavioural skills (e.g., memory, mood, self-control) for people with epilepsy and other neurological disorders where seizures are a main symptom. The assessment helps identify cognitive strengths and weaknesses to assist with diagnosis, surgical decision-making, and / or help provide recommendations for rehabilitation, return to school / work, and improving daily functioning.
