The websites to book appointments for blood collection, X-Rays, EKGs and COVID-19 testing will be unavailable from Tuesday April 1st from 2100 – 2130.  This is necessary for routine IT updates. During this time, the public will be unable to book appointments on-line and Nova Scotia Health staff will be unable to view the calendar or book online appointments for these services. Some services used by YourHealthNS may be unavailable for a brief period while servers are patched and rebooted.

 

Starting Saturday, December 14, 2024, the entrance to the QEII Halifax Infirmary Emergency Department has changed to 1840 Bell Road. Learn more.

 

Please plan for extra travel time when coming to the QEII Halifax Infirmary. As of Friday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. to Sunday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. Bell Road will be reduced to eastbound traffic only, coming east on Quinpool Road, as well as north and southbound on Robie Street.

All Saint Springhill Hospital’s Collaborative Emergency Centre is temporarily closed.  A virtual urgent care service will be available onsite daily.  Please check the schedule here.

Blood Collection Clinic

Please be advised that the blood collection clinic at the Halifax Infirmary is now closed.

For blood collection services, you can book an appointment at an alternate location online anytime or by calling 902-473-2074 or toll-free 1-833-942-2298 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).

Patients must be 12 years and older.

Driver Evaluation Program

The Driver Evaluation Program at Nova Scotia Health is temporarily on hold. We are retaining existing referrals with the goal of resuming services in the future and are continuing to accept new referrals as they are received. A written referral from a doctor is still required to participate in the program.

Soldiers Memorial Hospital emergency department is OPEN 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. 

Virtual Urgent Care is open, even when the emergency department is closed, at these times: Mon. to Fri. 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sat. & Sun. 8a.m. to 4 p.m.

Emergency department is OPEN 24 hours daily from 8 a.m. Monday to 1:30 p.m. Friday. It is closed at 1:30 p.m. Friday and re-opens 8 a.m. Monday (closed Sat.&Sun.) 

Virtual Urgent Care is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily (Mon. to Sun.), even when emergency dept. is closed. Patients accepted for appointments up to 60 mins before closing.

Virtual urgent care: Mon.-Tues. from 8am-5pm; Wed.-Fri. from 8am-2pm. Canso Medical Clinic: Mar. 24 to Mar. 28, from 12pm-5pm. Call 902-366-2633 for appt.
