Emergency entrance temporarily closed as part of ongoing exterior maintenance work at Eastern Memorial Hospital
CANSO, N.S. – The emergency entrance at Eastern Memorial Hospital in Canso will be closed this week as part of ongoing exterior maintenance work at the site.
Starting Tuesday, Nov. 10, the hospital’s emergency entrance will be closed for approximately one week to allow work to be completed in that area. While this work is underway, people are asked to use the main entrance to access the hospital.
The entrance closure is part of work that began in September to replace the hospital’s soffits and fascia. The work is part of required maintenance for the building which is expected to be completed in the next two to three weeks.
People are reminded to use caution if they are near areas outside the hospital where work is being done and to follow any signage that may be in place. They are also reminded to adhere to COVID-19 measures including visitor restrictions, social distancing, wearing a non-medical mask and good hand hygiene.
Nova Scotia Health appreciates your patience and cooperation while work is underway.
